Ferrum phosphoricum, also known as iron phosphate, is a mineral primarily found in the blood and plays a crucial role in various processes. As a component of hemoglobin—the red blood pigment—it is involved in oxygen transport. Additionally, it contributes to enzyme formation and plays an essential role in immune defense. Besides the blood, it is also present in small amounts in various tissues and organs such as the liver, spleen, lungs, and bone marrow.

Schüßler Salt No. 3 is primarily used for acute injuries and pain.
